The trick to falling asleep is not to try to fall asleep.
You can't will yourself to sleep.
You just have to let go.
Think about anything else except falling asleep.
Think about what you did today, your to-do list tomorrow, the fact that you once believed God created the world in just six days and then, even though he was an all-powerful being, had to rest on the seventh day cause he was totally tired.
Or, even better, think about how you once had to evangelize at a local community college as part of a religious camp and once said to a student at this campus, "I'm just worried about you going to hell, that's all."
Yeah, think about that, as you drift off to sleep.
