Graybeard
I'm getting more gray hairs. They are taking over.
It first got really bad during the pandemic when my son's daycare was closed and my wife and I were working full-time and watching him full-time.
I'd be sitting at our dining room table in front of my computer while our son jumped on me saying, "Daddy, daddy, daddy," while a coworker was sobbing on the phone, breaking down from the stress.
And that was before my wife and I had asked each other that dreaded question, "What do you want for dinner tonight?"
Those were the only words we spoke to each other some days.
My hair grew long, turned gray, and I did the dishes.
So many dishes.
One for each gray hair.
Okay, maybe I'm not that gray, but damn close.
