The likelihood of your child waking up sick or just because they aren't sleeping well increases exponentially the more you stay up past your bedtime and scroll through Instagram.
Which is why I recommend going to bed as early as possible.
In fact, just to be sure, I like to have my son put me to bed first.
Obviously I delay as much as I can and refuse to brush my teeth and tell him I don't have to pee even though I do and jump on the bed instead of putting my pajamas on but eventually he gets me down after a bunch of threats.
This way I can be fresh when he wakes up in the middle of the night.
