How to Write about Personal Shit

I don't know how to write about my family. I want to write about my childhood but I'm scared. I want to write about being homeschooled for my entire childhood education, growing up in a small fundamentalist Christian church, about how my father, who has no emotions except anger, went back to law school in his late thirties with four kids so he could help overturn Roe v. Wade, about living in a duplex next door to our pastor and pastor's wife who screamed at her children. I want to write about these things but I'm not sure how. How do you find an opening in a story? This opening is like a doorway that lets you into the whole house. But I can't find the doorway. I tell myself, it's probably not interesting. You should write about something else. My childhood was completely normal, boring. No one wants to read about it.
