"Fascinating," my wife says.

"And we'll get 8 miles per dollar, unlimited complimentary upgrades (if available) for domestic flights, waived fees for bags and ticket changes, free checked bags for me and eight traveling companions, and the full Sky Priority suite of services."

"Why are you traveling with eight people?" she says.

"I'm not, but if I were, I could check a free bag for each of them. I mean, that's an incredibly good deal."
