My Son Demands Cake When He Wakes Up
My son likes to wake up in the morning and instead of saying "Good morning," or "Hello," or "How'd you sleep?" he likes to make proclamations like, "I want to eat cake!" or "I want a popsicle!" or "Take me downstairs!"
While we do ask him to rephrase his demands in a more polite and considerate manner, and often remind him of appropriate breakfast options, I appreciate his honesty.
When I wake up, I often want an ice cream popsicle. Now I'm just gonna open my windows and scream that out.
What, my wife is still sleeping?
Well, she should know too.
This morning I tried it out.
"I WANT A CHOCOLATE POPSICLE!" I screamed.
Wow, my son is right, that does feel better to say.
