As we are walking away from the house or driving away in the car, my son has been saying things like, "Shit, I forgot my phone."

But it's strange because he doesn't own a phone. He's just a toddler.

"Did you forget something else?" I say. "Maybe your wallet? Or your sunglasses? Maybe your beeper?"  

"Noooooo, my phone," he says.

"Okay," I say.

He's just confused.

It happens to all of us sometimes.
