I'm Not a Good Storyteller
For someone who wants to be a writer, I'm not especially good at telling stories.
I can oftentimes embellish a written story. But telling a story in conversation is hard for me. I don't share enough small but significant details.
I'm like, "I went to the grocery store today and a car exploded in the parking lot. Then I bought some cereal and milk and went home."
And people say, "Wait, what happened?"
"I just told you," I say.
"No, wait, a car exploded. Was it a bomb? Did it explode on its own?"
"I don't know the details. I've given you as much information as I have. Bye."
"Wait, what? Don't leave!"
"Gotta go! Bye!"
I'm definitely going to make it as writer selling stories.
