What's With the Bible?

Why is everyone so obsessed with it?

Has anyone actually read it?

I wasn't allowed to watch PG-13 or R rated movies when I was a kid but I could read the Bible.

There is war, incest, adultery, erotica, violence.

At one point in the Book of Exodus, the Lord decides to kill Moses, which would have been a huge mistake as he is a central character.

But Zipporah (cool name), who is Moses's wife, takes a flint knife and cut's off her son's foreskin and touches Moses's feet with the foreskin and says, "'Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me."'

After this, the Lord decides not to kill Moses. Because obviously.

What?

What the hell just happened?

And that's not even the craziest thing to happen in the Bible.

And why as an eleven year old that was totally cool but I couldn't watch Terminator?
